It is not too common to learn how to make a crossbow in shop class. And, learning how to make a crossbow is not exactly at the beginning of most science or history classes. So, just because most people do not see the historical significance or the scientific application of building crossbows does not mean that you should not visit a site like this that specializes in teaching you how to make a crossbow.
